This article will address how to set Windows up to see the file type extensions.
To set windows up to view extensions:
1. Right click your “Start” button and select “Explore”
2. In the Window that opens up click “Tools”
3. Click “Folder Options…”
4. In the Folder Options window click the “View” tab
5. Make sure that the “Hide extensions for known file types” box is NOT checked
6. Click “Apply” or “OK”
You should now be able to see the extensions on all of your files.
